All-on-4 gives you new teeth the same day, but healing continues over the following months. Here's what to expect during recovery.
First 24–48 Hours
Swelling and mild discomfort are normal. Use ice packs, take prescribed or over-the-counter pain relief, and stick to soft foods. Rest and avoid strenuous activity. Your temporary prosthesis will feel different at first—this is normal.
First Week
Swelling typically peaks around day 3–4 and then subsides. Continue soft diet, gentle oral hygiene, and avoid chewing directly on the new teeth until your dentist advises otherwise. Many patients travel home during this period with no major issues.
Months 1–6
Osseointegration occurs: the bone bonds to the implants. You'll wear your temporary prosthesis during this time. Once healing is complete, your final zirconia or acrylic prosthesis is placed. We coordinate follow-up whether you're local or traveling from abroad.
